Currently there is no functionality to prevent sleep or warn the user to disable sleep when reflashing. Sleeping during the reflash process causes the software to freeze, resulting in a recovery flash.
While disabling sleep in Windows is easy, those of us who use our personal devices to very occasionally reflash can easily forget, and fixing this through software would be very easy. The cost of fixing this is dramatically lower than the severity of making this mistake.
