Base map bnr s4

Post by dickyB »

Hi I’m new here from the uk I bought a gen2 MPs last year and it pretty much spat a rod out straight away so I’ve had a new motor built with forged internals, 3” short ram injen intake, bigger tmic, hpfp, 3” straight pipe cat back exhaust with race downpipe, corksport injector seals, rad and clutch upgrade etc. I’ve ran the engine in on the standard turbo and I’m getting a bnr s4 v1 turbo fitted this week while I’m away working and was wondering if anyone has a suitable map or can make a base map as a starting point, thanks

The BNR S4 v1 is pretty old, probably like 2015-2016, they are pretty rare these days. Are you sure it's an S4 v1?

I’ve currently got one of them ko4’s on off maxspeeding rods but I read bad reviews and has a bit smoke every now and then and seen this one on eBay so I bought it

If yours doesn't smoke then it's good. But of course the BNR will bring a lot more joy in your life...

I read good reviews about the bnr and apparently it’s good for 400/500bhp and that’s more than I’m looking for, anywhere between 350/400 so I don’t have to go down the auxiliary fuelling road

The V1 may not be able to make 500 or that's where it will stop in a very optimistic scenario, but in your case the limitation will be the factory fueling system unless you decide to go with aux fueling. A WMI kit from snowperformance is around 1000EUR with everything you need, so shipped to the UK it may be about as that in GBP. Since you already have forged internals and a lot of other supporting mods you can go to 450+ with just 1000-1200GBP more added to your car (you can leave the TMIC on, just remove the VTCS and do a mild porting job on the factory intake manifold, and that's it).
