My STFT also spikes to 50% at wot. Although my LTFT stays put at 0.0%... I must say i did not follow VT's guide on MAF cal, but Abilor's. I will redo my MAF cal combining the STFT<FT. Maybe that will solve my issue.javigti wrote:Steve
I performed a calibration of the MAF but it still gives a 30% STFT at high voltages. Is it normal or STFT should be on the + -5% across the voltage range?
(The LTFT is 6% )
thanks

Have you increased the diameter of the maf housing?joey wrote:My STFT also spikes to 50% at wot. Although my LTFT stays put at 0.0%... I must say i did not follow VT's guide on MAF cal, but Abilor's. I will redo my MAF cal combining the STFT<FT. Maybe that will solve my issue.javigti wrote:Steve

You mean the intake? I have an 3" SRI and TIP...javigti wrote:Have you increased the diameter of the maf housing?joey wrote:My STFT also spikes to 50% at wot. Although my LTFT stays put at 0.0%... Re: Map editing
if i understand correctly fuel trims may be able to be ignored at WOT, ltft should always show about 0% when WOT since you are in Open loop. WOT calibration is done logging and comparing desired vs actual lambda/AFR

You are spot on correct!laxplayermjd wrote:if i understand correctly fuel trims may be able to be ignored at WOT, ltft should always show about 0% when WOT since you are in Open loop. WOT calibration is done logging and comparing desired vs actual lambda/AFR

Re: Map editing
I used abilors maf cal method and ltft is always 0 at cruise, it does go to around -6 at idle though. I think I may have a vac leak.

Re: Map editing
Both trims go to zero during OL on the 6. I need to look at the OEM 3 code some more to see if there is a bug where STFT is displayed, but not applied.

Re: Map editing
Even when I had the hypertech, the stft's would go sky high at WOT so I thought it was normal.

Re: Map editing
OMG!! I've been such a tool, my wot maf cal was a mile off. That was causing the throttle closure, I have re-done it and all seems well.
