Bluescreen whilst reading stock tune
Bluescreen whilst reading stock tune
Hi, I have another laptop to try but so far on my Dell I5 laptop (running windows 7 64bit Home Prem) I keep getting the blue screen of death whilst trying to install Versatuner to car (software installed on laptop fine!). It is worrying me a little to be honest as whilst writing a tune this would I guess cause a issue! Anyway so far twice it has blue screened whilst reading stock tune information first time around 42% and last time 84%. I am using the recommended Tactrix 2.0 cable also. I havent moved the laptop or touched the cable!
I installed the drivers found on the tactrix web site (Drivers + J2534 ). Please can someone help me.

I had some cuts in comms when data logging. After changing the USB cable into a shorter one it has worked OK. Maybe has nothing to do with your problem though.

Make sure all of the cable connections are tight. If there is an issue while flashing, there is a recovery capability built into VersaTuner. No worries.

Please try using another USB port and a different USB cable.

Make sure that your power management allows the laptop to run for 30 minutes before the screen saver or stand-by occurs. Use the full-power profile or plug the laptop into mains power.

Smash the laptop with a hammer, that'll teach it!!
Re: Bluescreen whilst reading stock tune
