82% Max throttle position

Post by Mr6Speed3 »

Hello all, I have a 2015 Mazda 3 2.0L with manual trans. The only mods I have are the Corksport Intake (2.0L), Corksport Air Box, Oil Catch Can, and 2.5L Throttle Body. I installed the "Manual Trans 93 octane" tune on my car but today I was logging data and noticed that when I push the gas pedal 100%, all the way to the floor, the Versatune data logger showed a max of 82% throttle position. Is this normal or does this have to do with the tune not know about the 2.5L TB?

The throttle will open to 77-78-80% maximum, above that it basically starts reverting and closing from the other direction.

Gotcha, thank you! Do you think it would be better to go back to the 2.0L TB with the tune? Or would it make much of a difference. It definitely made a difference before the tune, the ECU seemed to adjust just fine to it but I don't know much about the tune. Would the tune also adjust to the slightly larger TB the same way the stock ECU would?

And if I did go back to the 2.0L TB, would I need to reflash the tune again would could I just unhook the battery?

Disconnect the battery or reflash your last tune to force the ECU re-learn the TB min and max points...

Would it make a difference to go back to 2.0L TB?
