Speed limiter
Have you tried if upping of speed limiter really works? I see in Valet tune you make it smaller. Our German friends might be really interested if limit of 250 km/h could be forgotten. I could do some marketing in their forum...
Tune editor seems to have a really nice user interface! One small development idea however. It would be useful if table group name in tune editor would turn bold if one or more tables belonging to that group have been modified. Like now the table name turns bold even if just one cell in that table has been modified, otherwise it stays "not bold".

Re: Speed limiter
We are confident that increasing the speed limit works just as fine as lowering it, unfortunately we have no possibility to legally test if the car is actually capable of running faster than 250 km/h. Before attempting tests of this kind, please make sure that your tires have sufficient speed rating and that your wheels and suspension are in great shape. Only do that in places where it is legally allowed and safe for you and others.
Thank you for the tune editor feature idea, we will add it in one of the upcoming versions.

Re: Speed limiter
Thanks for prompt reply again! I personally have no need to rise the limit but they in Germany would find it nice, you know they still have many Autobahns without speed limit. And I know they have tried to get the limit risen by Hypertech or some other tuning solutions and have not really succeeded, at least not always. I was just thinking if you had tried it eg. on rollers or something, maybe document in video, that would boost sales in Germany...
Re: Speed limiter
I played with it some during testing and it works, here in texas we have some very long very straight roads in the middle of no where.

Re: Speed limiter
I played with it some today. I set limit to 100 km/h and tried with different gears. With 4th and 5th it limits the speed nicely, BUT NOT with 6th gear. There must be something more related to this matter than just that one value... This is however not a big issue but so my car behaved. 3 MPS -07
Re: Speed limiter
as far as i know, mazdaedit can completely remove the speed limiter. There are more than 1 Map wich have to be edited to remove it completely. Hypertech can lower it, but not remove it (because they only edit one map). I testet it on german autobahn with hypertech. At 250kmh OBD Speed my "Absolute Trottle Plate Position" moves from 75% to about 40% and the car stops Accelerating! So Hypertech CAN´T remove speed limit.
I hope Versatune can do it.

Re: Speed limiter
There is an RPM threshold component that is not met in 6th gear at 100km/h. The high limit is configurable and will be enforced as long as the RPMs exceed that threshold. The highest value permitted by Tune Editor is 300km/h. If someone wants a higher limit, they can contact VersaTune to discuss their needs. If there is a need for a lower RPM threshold, that can be added.
