New v1.08 tunes published in the database
Re: New v1.08 tunes published in the database
Guys it's not normal to simply abandon this thread, after all we bought the software from you based on the fact that you will provide technical support and improved updates - I'm having the same issues like Elyssa and I want to know if you are still working on a new version, since 1.08 is having serious power drop issues.
What software version is considered "safe" for my 150HP engine - should I stick to the standard 175HP upgraded version or is 1.08 safe to use?

Hi, I bought VersaTune recently for my SH06 engine (AT transmission) and after 2 weeks of testing feel sometimes the same limitations from 3000 rpm.

Hi, still no answer about power drops ... no news. I'm starting to take into consideration search for a safer alternative.

Guys, you should consider sending an email to the support address. It's not normal for these complaints to remain unanswered for so long, so take the official route. You'll at least know if someone is working on the issue or if there's some other problem, and what is the ETA for fixing it.

Re: New v1.08 tunes published in the database
Hi everyone, we apologize for the problems you are experiencing. Our lead tuner has been on vacation for a while, but is coming back on Monday and will work on the tunes as soon as possible.
We developed and tested the current version of the tune in colder weather and now that the summer has come, the exhaust gas temperatures will sometimes exceed the preset limits, thus causing the ECU to limit power. That is what you feel, it is a built-in protection system in the ECU. This should not cause any mechanical damage and mostly affects the car's driveability and your driving experience.
All those who are experiencing these problems, please flash a weaker tune from our tune database (SkyActiv-D Base version 1.06) until the issues are resolved.

Re: New v1.08 tunes published in the database
I have been looking into this.
It is the result of the higher ambient temperatures in the summer months.
Please post logs where the power fluctuation is occurring with the 1.08 tune here or email them to [email protected]
Thanks,
Steve

1.06 has similar issues, but not so visible.
What parameters need to be in the log?

Please log these Parameters:
Accelerator pedal position
RPM
Coolant Temp
EGT B1S1
Fuel Injection amount desired
MAP
MAP desired
Exhaust pressure sensor bank 1
Regulating valve position
Wastegate duty cycle
I'm hoping to have a new tune to test next week. Any logs would be helpful.
